Terminology
- co-op/cooperative: autonomous or semi-autonomous
community of people living together in a communal space with shared
responsibilities
- coliving: corporate-owned for-profit space with
cleaning staff and communal amenities
- commune: autonomous community that is mostly
self-sufficient with high degree of communal responsibility
- cohousing: sort of a catch-all that includes more
casual attempts to form community in regular apartments
