Today I cross Donohue Pass into Yosemite.I was on the JMT for 2 more days after this, but my camera died.I have some phone pics of Yosemite, but none of the most beautiful part: the meadow near Cathedral Pass, which I reached in the early afternoon. The evening I completed the hike, I went to the Clocktower and chatted with Nicole about using photography to express your particular perspective upon seeing a place as widely captured as Yosemite. But that meadow resisted capture. No point in taking photos anyway - it's the sound, the whole experience. The bees and butterflies. The peace.A smirking part of me is glad I cannot share it with you - glad that place remains reachable only via a challenging hike.
